what to expect

We’re here to make your first visit to Playa Christian Church a welcoming and enjoyable experience! Going to a new place can sometimes be confusing, so here are a few easy tips for your first visit:

Once you enter the breezeway, you’ll find friendly greeters to assist you with directions to the sanctuary and restrooms. Communion, prayer, praise and worship, giving and biblical teaching are key components to our worship service each week. You will experience dynamic praise and worship, a contemporary blend of gospel music. Our Senior Pastor, Terry Sweany, delivers and energetic, inspiring and challenging Word from the Lord. Sunday morning services are approximately one hour and 15 minutes in length.

PARKING

We have lots of street parking in the front and around the school…so the best part is wherever you park, it’s all within a short walk. Handicapped parking is available in the parking lot next to the auditorium. We’re located at the corner of Centinela Ave. and Juniette street (behind Starbucks).

COMMUNION, PRAYER, PRAISe, GIVING, AND BIBLICAL TEACHING ARE KEY COMPONENTS OF OUR WORSHIP.

PLAYAKIDS

Playakids offers fun, age appropriate programs for children infant-6th grade during the service in our children’s classrooms. Children are dismissed midway through the service to the Playakids programs

First time guests should visit our Information Table (located at the entrance under the breezeway) to check in. Staff and volunteers will be able to answer any questions you might have.

If you have little ones, we will ask for your cell phone number to text you in case your child needs you. Click here to learn more.

WORSHIP

If you’re checking us out for the first time, it helps to know what to expect. Here’s some info to make your first experience an amazing one!

There is a convenient entrance to our Worship Center. The main doors are located just in front of the Welcome Table under the breezeway, directly through the main entrance from Juniette street. Once inside the Worship Center, you’ll receive a bulletin and outline, giving an overview of what to expect during the service. The worship service lasts about an hour and 15 minutes and includes singing, communion, announcements, offering, teaching and response time. God speaks to each of us individually and often our response will flow naturally out of our connection with Him. We also provide online giving for your convenience.

HANG OUT IN THE BREEZEWAY

We encourage you to hang out In the breezeway after the service where volunteers and staff are available to answer any questions you might have about our ministries. Or, drop by the Welcome Table. We’d love to meet you and introduce you to some of our pastors, volunteers and staff.
