Dear Members of Playa Christian Church,
Join us Sunday, May 2 at 11:00 am for our first in-person service since 2020. We will meet outdoors under a tent at Pastor Terry’s residence, and will follow CDC protocols. Street parking will be available one block from the location around Osage Elementary School. This is a soft reopening and therefore will be a trial event, requiring reservations (see below), before we progress to Phase II – regularly scheduled services. This will allow us to make any necessary changes and adjustments before we make it a regularly scheduled event.
Obviously, this is a temporary change until the school renews our lease or we find a more permanent solution. But we are excited to move forward in faith and begin meeting again. For those who are unable to attend during this first phase of reopening, we will still offer services online. Thank you for your support and prayers during this difficult time. We are grateful to God for His grace and providence and we look forward to a blessed homecoming.
What sanitation measures will be in place?
Our team will disinfect surfaces throughout and we will sanitize the venue between services. Hand-sanitizing stations will be placed in strategic locations . The water, café, and coffee station will not be available at this time, but you are encouraged to bring a water bottle or spill-proof coffee container from home.
What about face coverings?
Face coverings will be made available for you as you walk on to the property. In order to help facilitate a safe environment to worship, our staff and volunteers will be wearing face coverings as they serve.
How will seating work?
Households will sit together, each household spaced six feet apart.
Will there be kids or nursery care?
Children will remain with parents during Phase I of our regathering strategy.
Will vaccines be required?
Vaccines are encouraged but not required.
What about people with limited mobility?
If you or someone in your group has limited mobility, they can are welcome to find parking closer to the house or else be dropped off curbside at the location.
What about communion?
Pre-filled juice and wafer communion kits will be distributed for an efficient, hygienic communion experience.
